Sibling affection has its own grammar and almost nothing in this category respects it. Search for a Rakhi page and you will be shown romantic templates with the word "brother" dropped in, hearts and all. This one was built the other way round: the vocabulary is teasing, the evidence is from childhood, and there is not a single heart in the artwork or the words.
The chrome is a woven thread that runs across the top of the page, which is as close to a rakhi as we wanted to get — a literal drawing of one would have tipped into clip art. Underneath it the structure is a timeline of things you both remember differently, photographs, and an old account finally being settled.

Written as a sibling, not a partner
Dry, teasing, slightly unfair — the register siblings actually use. The pre-filled example is a sister writing to her older brother.
A woven thread, not a clip-art rakhi
The only ornament is a thread drawn across the top in terracotta. It reads as Rakhi without becoming a sticker.
