An anniversary page that counts the days properly
An anniversary is a measurement, and measurements deserve to be shown. The anniversary template opens with a live counter — years, months and days since the date you give it — and then walks through the timeline underneath. Seeing the number is a surprisingly different feeling from knowing it.
It works for the first as well as the fifteenth. A first anniversary has fewer photographs and more relief; a fifteenth has a great many photographs and a shorter message. Both are handled by the same page, and the template is quieter than the Valentine’s ones by design. This one is about duration, not declaration.

For a first anniversary
One year of finding out what you are like on ordinary Wednesdays. It turns out that is the part I like most. Happy anniversary.
For a long marriage

Thirty-two years of the two of you working things out at the kitchen table, usually after we had gone to bed. Happy anniversary, both of you.

Questions people actually ask
Does the counter keep running?
Yes. It calculates from the date you set every time the page is opened, so it is correct in a year as well as tonight.
Can I make one for my parents?
Yes. Set the relationship to parents while editing and the words shift from romantic to affectionate-and-slightly-amused, which is the register that actually works for a child writing about their parents.
